Although there were countless mistakes executing innocent people in the past, do you believe it is possible this will still happen in the future? Also with the advancements in DNA evidence technology and its availability today, is there any possibility of anyone being wrongfully convicted now or in the future?

After reading through the website and discovering the horrors of prison life, which do you believe would be a crueler punishment? Think about the question from the accused's perspective as well. If you were in the situation where you had to pick life in prison or execution, which would you choose for yourself?

    writers memo

My name is Vincent Kurp and I am the creator of this website. I am currently about to finish my Sophomore year at York College of Pennsylvania. My major is Chemistry but I have taken several writing courses here at YCP as well as an Information Literacy course. All of which have given me the proper training and resources necessary to develop a thesis, conduct academic research, and in the end create this website. It is full of controversial arguments along with credible resources and data to back them up. What drew me, a chem major, to make a website such as this was all of the flaws I could see within the arguments from people against the death penalty. The purpose of this website is not to promote the death of criminals, but to promote the debate about capital punishment and to use it more effectively. In the end my intentions are to improve the judicial process through which people are sentenced to death so we may use the death penalty to its full potential for those who truly deserve it, and without any innocent people being wrongfully incarcerated.
